When you hear a reference to $1 trillion, it usually is in connection to the stock market capitalization of a handful of the largest tech companies. Yet that ten-figure number can now also be applied to what those companies and others have together paid in fines and settlements to resolve allegations of misconduct.
They're all too big to fail. I'm getting my wallet out. Basically, taxpayers bail out (fund) criminal behavior. Everything is corrupt beyond belief and impoverishing the average person. They divide us, conservative vs. liberal, straight vs. gay, skin color, whatever it takes to keep the crime spree going. At least Big Oil keeps having record subsidized profits as the planet burns and the ice sheets melt. Sad truth, everything is broken and nothing short of an uprising is going to change it. An uprising will happen, too late, and against each other rather than the criminals.
