A substantial number of working-class Americans have decided that the Biden Administration is not acting in their interest and is instead serving the elites. One area in which that notion most strongly conflicts with reality is the regulation of consumer financial services.
This is good, of course, now how about Biden address the interest rates on cards that would make a loan shark blush? Even with a very high credit rating, interest on cards is outrageous. The real problem with the economy is the off the charts wealth gap between the working class and the wealthy, which started in the late 1970s. Apparently, he's announcing something about a wealth tax in his State of the Union tonight. We'll see if that goes anywhere. Not holding my breath. Banks should have been nationalized under Obama.
